First Service -August 19, 1990
14 people meet in a Holiday Hills home for New Hope’s first
service
Relocation -November 18, 1990
New Hope Moves to Mill Creek Elementary School in
Williamsburg
Land Miracle -February 21, 1994
New Hope purchases current property, 80 acres, which was
previously listed at $460,000, but purchased for $160,000. New Hope
sells the back 60 acres, keeping the front 20 acres for a total purchase
price of $40,000.
Land Dedication -May 29, 1994
First service held on property under a tent 1 Chronicles 29:1
– “The task is great because this palatial structure is not for man but
for the Lord God.”
Miracle Sunday -September 17, 1995
“Seeing is Believing” Luke 5:24
$739,170.25 raised in one Sunday for Phase I building
project
Land Donation -February 11, 1996
10 additional acres given to the church, now totaling 30
acres
First Service Phase I -March 17, 1996
First service held in gymnasium and the street is named
“Bethesda Ct” after John 5 meaning “Place of Healing.” The sermon was
titled “Messes to Miracles” Genesis 28:17.
Parking Lot and Sports Complex -May 15, 1997
Ground broken on 20 acres where land was leveled and
developed into parking lot and sports complex
Untie the Colt Sunday -November 2, 1997
$2,001,000.00 raised in one Sunday for Phase II building
project
Community Center -December 15, 1997
Broke ground on community center
Construction of Phase II -July 1, 1998
Broke ground on worship center and new educational space
“Now Finish the Work” Sunday -March 21, 1999
Between March and September 12, 1999, $750,000 was received
to finish Phase II
First Service Phase II -February 6, 2000
First Service and dedication of new auditorium
“Loaves and Fish” Sunday -November 7, 2004
Between December 2004 to early 2005 we received over $1
Million for the construction of our new administrative building.
Administrative Building Grand Opening – August
20, 2006
Our Administrative building opened on the day of our 16th
anniversary as a church.
New Hope North Begins - April 19, 2006
New Hope plants a satellite church in Petoskey, MI. One
church, two locations.
New Hope East Begins - April 12, 2009
New Hope plants a satellite church in Bellaire, MI. One
church, three locations.
New Hope turns 20 – August 15, 2010
New Hope celebrates its 20th Anniversary as a Church.
