The nursery is designed for:
- Children, birth to 2 years old
- Parents/Guardians to have an opportunity to participate in the Sunday morning service with the assurance that their child is safe and well cared for.
Safety:
- New Hope implements a security system that maximizes the safety of your child.
- Numbered bracelets are fastened to the child and to the parent. Nursery workers will only release the child to the adult with a matching bracelet.
- In an emergency, or in the case of an unconsoled child, the bracelet number will display on the pager system located in the sanctuary.
- Child per worker ratio is enforced.
Health and Behavior:
- New Hope provides a safe and healthy environment. Toys and linens are cleaned each week.
- To ensure a healthy environment, we request that parents keep ill children with them.
- Positive behavior will be modeled and encouraged. If problems persist, the parent or guardian will be notified.
- Morning activities are posted in each class, including a healthy snack and water for the children.
- First aid kits are available for minor injuries.
How parents/guardians can reinforce quality nursery care:
- We strongly encourage involvement in the volunteer nursery care
- Parents/guardians that serve will benefit by experiencing the Christ-like care a child receives.
Other information:
- The family room is equipped with a sound system & window which allows parents to hear the worship service while attending to their young child.
- A private area for nursing mothers is located in the infant nursery
- New Hope nursery has high child care standards, but we are not a licensed childcare center.
