Night to Shine hosted by New Hope Community Church in Traverse City, MI
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs. This coming year, on Friday, February 7, 2025, Night to Shine will celebrate its eleventh anniversary as hundreds of churches and volunteers come together to honor thousands of guests with special needs. New Hope Community Church in Traverse City is so excited to join other churches around the globe in hosting this fantastic night!
Every guest will get to enter on a red carpet with paparazzi. During the event, all honored guests will receive the royal treatment, including shoe shine stations, hair/makeup stations, limo rides, corsages and boutonnieres, karaoke, dinner, and even party favors. There will also be a sensory room, a respite room for parents/caregivers, and, of course, dancing to live music! The highlight of night will be when we crown each honored guest as a king or queen of the prom!
We encourage dressing up in your favorite formal wear (dress, gown, suit or tux) or whatever makes you feel handsome or beautiful!
As much as this is a night to celebrate the honored guests, we also want to provide respite for you! We want to honor you for your lifetime commitment to caring for your loved one. Our desire is to provide you with an opportunity to rest and enjoy the night knowing that your loved one is having an amazing time in a safe environment with a personally assigned “buddy.” There will be a beautiful respite room available with food and community for all parents/caretakers during Night to Shine.
